Revamp the way Spokane approaches job creation and economic development
by seeking new leadership for the traditional organizations charged with that responsibility.
Recruit new businesses and work to retain existing businesses. Take politics out of
economic development and do not let what drove Bernard Daines and David Sabey happen again.
Stop and reduce government waste with the same leadership that reduced from 14 to 8, the
number of operating divisions in your city government.
Continue to repair our streets and roads by being more aggressive in seeking federal and
state revenue sources.
Continue to enhance our community and senior centers and our C.O.P. Shops, making our
neighborhoods safer while providing more health care and childcare.
No new property taxes and no increases in utility taxes unless approved by the voters.
We must continue to restore public trust, first, in how we are spending your money!
Continue efforts to insure an open and responsive city government as exampled by the openness
of both the Lodging Tax and Advisory Committee's Hearings and the Park Department's Science
Center Hearings.
Support Neighborhood Councils and their independence.
Stand up for what is right.
